Have you ever had any of your intuitions turn out to be profound / cool truths? I can think of a few for me.

>read a literature professor explaining what quest novels are about (character goes in search of something but the main thing is that they grow as a person)
>he says that crying of lot 49 was a quest.novel
>later read it
>think to myself "How was that a quest.novel, how did Oedipa grow? Was a woman leaving the kitchen in the 60s that crazy?"
>later watch Yale lecture which confirmed.my intuition

>tell someone on /lit/ that ethics is not a worthwhile field, you just have to state your assumptions and everything else falls in to place trivially
>he says I'm wrong
>doubt myself because I was trolling and said the first thing that came to mind
>later read that I'm right

>read V by Pynchon
>think that it was an excuse to dump all his unpublished short stories
>later read that I'm almost certainly right

Also I could tell straight away that all metaphysics is bullshit but I won't count that since its an easy one.
