They do have female protagonists sometimes, and those women exist in a world where men have all the power, and those issues are explored, but I found it refreshing and good.

In one of the books, the protagonist is a pampered white rich kid with blonde hair, and he's treated fairly and even painted to be a noble and virtuous bro.

Le Guin is, at least with this series, Le Best, in my IMHO. (I dabbled in her Hainish Cycle series of books, and uh...maybe I was reading them wrong or just am too low IQ, but I didn't enjoy what I read.)
