Okay, after sleeping on it I've decided it was a dick move to post his writing to be made fun of and not mine. So here you go, the piece I submitted for that very same workshop class:

Enjoy.

>be enrolled in a writing workshop at a liberal arts school
>we spend an hour reviewing two pieces per week with the goal of reviewing all twenty people twice over before the semester ends
>small liberal arts school, so I'm expecting good shit
>we've reviewed 12 stories so far
>7 were written in present tense after the professor explicitly said to avoid it unless you really know what you're doing
>1 was a 30 page fanfiction
>1 was an "lel so randum :^)))" wannabe postmodern work that broke the fourth wall every other sentence
>these people refuse to take constructive criticism and instead defend their shitty stories to the death

What is the point? I'm not even making fun of them for their shitty stories, I'm making fun of their shitty attitude. If you're not in a workshop class to better your writing, why the fuck are you there? To get an audience for your 30 page fanfiction? I don't understand.
