this guy sounds similar to many people, not at the same point but same function. It's a place where so many are without realising it. He just seems to be at a point where he's reflecting on himself and trying to understand their reasoning when it's not worth it because they are existing through a veil too. Language viruses, social artificial axioms, ego, etc, cloud their perception of the world and themselves, they completely stop dividing their mind between itself and their surroundings existing solely in a mentally ill brain and their internal voice caused from being socialised. Abstract objects dashing around inside them. These people only understand abstract concepts if it has a word attached to it because that's how they exist but because there's no visuality involved they aren't even able to understand most concepts. only a limited set of them. They live through nothing but words and numbers. Numbers and letters which they don't even understand what are, thinking the symbols dependant on the physical plane to describe something which they already once knew matters.
Either he'll realize this and find peace, never find it and feel a static in his mind forever or he'll go back to his normally mentally ill state where he believes everything is fixed but it's still at the back of his thought process lingering behind him.
Divide your mind between what you find on this plane and practice actual cerebration instead of living on this world through an internal and restless "monkey mind" voice.
