What is this guy’s deal? He seems very respected in the literary world, yet he receives little recognition from almost everyone else. His 60 Stories collection is part of a 3 for 2 deal so I decided to gamble. What am I in for?

I've already, in twisted prose that I can't help and is kind of similar to Kafka's writing, established what I thought would be clear to most everyone reading the Trial, that Josef K. is nothing like a meek man like Kafka, but is a strong, self-satisfied figure like Kafka's father. Anyone wanna guess one of the next two pieces of the puzzle in proving Josef K. guilty?

Any Donald Barthelme enthusiast here? i fucking love his works.

For those who don't know him i highly recommend, he made amazing short stories, like "The Balloon". DFW said that this storie was his first fictional click in literature.

This is my favorite barthelm's piece:

Is there a good collection of Barthelme's short stories that a neophyte might start with?
