So I only recently learned that Shigesato Itoi, the creator of the "Mother" series (Earthbound and etc.) is apparently a writer, and a damn good one at that. Anyone have any recommendations on where to start with him?

How has the mother series not been mentioned on here yet?

This, along with the Metal Gear Series (probably my favorite series, actually, when push comes to shove), basically were the trailblazers for postmodernism in videogames.

....and still some of the only games to use postmodernist themes effectively
