Obviously, a big part of initiation is to believe in it whole-heartedly, rejecting everything else. Rene Guenon did not just enter into Islam and move to Cairo on a whim. His last word uttered was "Allah". He obviously had personal convictions and beliefs which made him more attracted to Islam, this was not recorded in his writings because the purpose of Traditionalism is not to promote one tradition or another, but to highlight the importance of Tradition overall and expound upon its primordial nature.

The Qur'an is a very short read. I can summarize it here:
>God created humanity to know and worship Him
>He gave humanity free will and reason to choose between the straight path or the path of Satan, while God also predestines the end of every human through His absolute Will
