/lit/ - Literature

I like it when you have a big, well-developed space-opera type setting with a Galactic empire or something like that, and Earth has been lost or forgotten, but there are still allusions to Earth and its history as if it were something out of mythology or primordial history, especially if rediscovering or returning to Earth becomes a major plot point. I had a dream about this once. Dune, Hyperion and especially Foundation have aspects of this, but I don't know much else.
