We radically underestimate the psychological significance of the world that we have inherited. This world is without ligament and without a father, and we are destroying ligaments as fast as we can, and we're spitting in the image of the father. We've made Liliths out of Eves, and we have an abusive relationship to the truth. All of this is done in the name of equality, freedom, comfort and convenience. We are the most ruthless people on this earth.

People like Jung tried to remedy this, all the great religions, all of the great sages and philosophers have been trying to remind mankind of their roots and of their organic heritage as the most sophisticated system in all of nature.

We in the west have created such an incredible world of plenty for ourselves, but have we created a society that gives the human soul what it desires? Have we attended to the psyche, to logos?

Hi everyone I’m from Reddit and new here. what’s the best way to achieve Call of the Crocodile levels of success by writing a book? Can I become the next F Gardner if I study his works and try to learn from whatever it was that he did right?
My honest goal is to write the next big book like Call of the Crocodile. Is this realistic?

compared to other boards, /lit/ has fewer reaction pics, fewer memes that work outside this very board, and overall it feels like there seems to be an iron fence around this asylum. you hear people mention /lit/ on youtube, twitter, or tictoc in a way people talk about a glory hole in a fine Italian restaurant. everybody knows it's there, but nobody uses it, wink wink. Pepe, once declared an alt right symbol by Hilary Clinton by ignorance, works as a scarecrow in this Malaysian basket weaving forum. If anything Pepe is a symbol for autism.

I’ve already read Call of the Crocodile and plan on reading the rest. Are the other books F Gardner has written just as big of mindfucks? Other than Gardner I’m going to check out Infinite Jest. But I’m worried it’s just a joke to trick me into reading something unnecessarily long. Is Infinite Jest really that good? Same question applies to Blood Meridian and Gravity’s Rainbow to lesser extents. I’d also like a QRD on RC Waldun and his books if they’re worth reading. I’ve seen some of his YouTube videos and can’t tell if he’s for real or not.
