Thats the problem. Youre too focused on the end goal of any activity you do. If you really want to start living life, learn to enjoy the moment. You should do art for arts sake, not so that what youll do will have an impact on the world. Ironically when you start genuinely doing something for the sake of that something, the end product becomes better. You say that you genuinely enjoy the creative process, but deep down this fixation on the futilesness of your efforts is whats crippling you. You still care about the end goal.

Start meditating. Maybe take some acid and listen to some alan watts lectures.
