Hey /Lit/, this one goes out to all of you Spanish speakers ( and most importantly, readers) out there.

I'm trying to learn Spanish. This might seem counter-intuitive but I can read most low to mid level Spanish without any problems, I just have problems when I speak because I get tongue tied and nervous. I'd really like to read some books in Spanish, starting at a beginner level and then move on up. I can speak it decently, my mother's Colombian and her whole family speaks Spanish. I'm the odd one out.

Pic related is one of mine, in addition to Lucky Jim and a few wodehouse short story collections. But I've already read the sticky and those are kind of the stereotypical /lit/ answers.

Was Ignatius a shining example of the literary life?

To those who have read A Confederacy of Dunces, how did you picture Ignatius J. Reilly? I'm reading it now, and I'm constantly pausing because I'm trying to form a perfect image of him in my mind. As of now, I imagine him much like this drawing, and for some reason, I have given him a New York style accent. I feel like his criticisms would sound more funny this way. This is the first time I've invested so much time in trying to imagine a character's features. It seems important for some reason.
