"The first book I wrote that was actually self published was Dominion of Blades, and I made more money the first week it was out than in my entire career before that combined, including all the prizes, pro fees from short stories, and three trad published books. The world has changed. I don't think a large publisher will ever make sense in this genre until they can understand the rapid release requirements. Some of the new smaller presses (Like Aethon and Mountaindale) understand, but a big New York house is too cumbersome gain a foothold in this world.

That said, if I ever publish another standalone book, I will consider going back to trad publishing."

You need to update them , man. They are a mess.

I'm an oldfag that stopped reading fantasy and sci-fi in the 90s and switched to vidya. These past few years I gone knee-deep into webnovels and litrpgs.

What have I missed since the 90s? Is Sanderson actually good? Did Wheel of Time get better? Any must-read recomendations?
