Now it's transparently clear that Juden Kikerson thinks that God is an archetype. And to him an archetype is an abstraction, the same way numbers are abstractions. You abstract the idea of a dominant male from all the particular instantiations of dominant males that you know until you arrive at the idea of God.
Well, first of all, that's not what an archetype is for Jung. Jung didn't think that archetypes were mental abstractions from observation. That is a blatant Anglo-empiricist pervertion of Jungian idea! Jung thought they were inherent in our psyche and that the particular instantiations were, first of all, projections, and second, they came after, not before the archetypes themselves.
Second, by saying this JP clearly admits to being an atheist (NOT, to be clear, an agnostic, because he states that we CAN know what God is, namely, to him, an abstraction), so what is all this beating around the bush around the God question? Is it because he doesn't want to alienate his audience? Or is it because he is doubtful about his own philosophy?
