>The general idea for AnimeCon was to take a look at harem genre weaknesses (one-dimensional cardboard characters and blatant wish fulfillment) and see if I could shore up some of the weaknesses by going real in depth with each of the characters, to the point where the story is full on multi-protagonist. Unashamedly never going to address that it's blatant wish fulfillment.

I'm not sure if it's still a wish fullfilment story after so many big changes to the formula. I read the story long ago so I my memory of it might be spotty, but I recall the Protagonist to be kind of a successful guy with decent looks and sexual skills. Not to say that he was Gary Sue or something, but even if he had his own problems and weaknesses, you made him TOO MUCH of a character for the story to be a wish fullfilment.

I'm not one for self-inserts, but I know most people do that, especially in Harems, which are largely read to vicariously live through the main character. To that point, prtoagonists have to be at least somewhat relatable. Not saying that he's unrelatable, but he's doesn't seem relatable to the main consumers to the genre, or just webnovel readers in general.

>The old trash cover was done by an artist who tried to screw me over, was happy to see it replaced even if it's not as attention grabbing. Fuck that dude
Damn, that sucks, but I'm glad you got rid of him

TWI up to 6.62ish
I finally got around to going back and reading the Daquin game arc and the two following Baleros interludes.
I've gotta say I'm growing fond of the students' squad. I was really not feeling it at the beginning, just another group of characters that I wouldn't hear more of for 2000+ pages, but after skipping said chapters and just getting my fill of Izril and Chandrar, I'm starting to warm up to Baleros, although I'm still a bit torn up on its Earther group. Feels like they've stagnated a bit, although I think I have myself to blame for that. Their set up made me think that their group would have a more litRPG-ish progress like the first Laken chapters to break up a bit from the more regular fantasy style from the rest of the chapters.

A few more notes from last time I posted (after the witch arc I think?):
-Finally got some insight into Peril as a character and a bit of his ambitions, I think I kinda see where it's going with his parallels to Pisces, him staying his disciple for a while but eventually confronting him and proving with the power of friendship or some shit that there's another way and that Necromacy can become respected/tolerated or something of that note. I'm quite worried about Pisces and what's gonna happen when everyone inevitably ends up finding out. I like how he humbled a bit after the Montressa encounter and the shopping trip with Selys, hope they can patch things out and see more of the real Pisces that keeps hiding behind his (now broken) mask.
-Toren has FINALLY heard about Erin being alive. I have a feeling it's gonna end terribly for her but it should make for some interesting developments. I wonder if their two personalities will split, fuse and make a full character or something similar? I'm kinda fond of the female persona.
-Last batch of Chandrar chapters were really enjoyable. The climax of Tiqr's war was a bit anticlimatic, but the future involvement of Illivere seems like it's gonna be interesting. Khelt is a really fun addition, the portrayal of Necromacy in a somewhat positive light for a change was nice and King Fetohep is a cool character.

Overall, it feels like some plotlines are gonna start to intersect a bit soon, people are moving and meeting, big players getting more involved, looking forward to it. I only hope we get some more Terandria soon, seems like a kino continent.

>idk man
>I've been reading quite consistently for like four months now and I'm still like halfway through V6
>And by reading consistently I mean sometimes streaks of days of 6+ hours of reading
>The chapters keep getting longer and longer, I feel like V9 is gonna be finished by the time I completely catch up
Sorry TWI bro, but it took me only 21~ days to go from zero to half of Volume 7. And I savour the story, not speed-read (speed-reading is like speed-fucking, what's the fucking point).
