>Where do I start with Lovecraft?
Like everyone else: Call of Cthulhu. Get yourself a cheap paperback with all the usual stories that have been printed to death and enjoy the ride. If you really enjoy Lovecraft you can start delving deeper into the rest of his work, the Halcyon Classics edition has all his surviving fiction, as well as his unacknowledged ghost writing/collaboration in chronological order. If you need a reading order it's very interesting to read Lovecraft chronologically and see him develop from a disciple of Poe into a master of science fiction.

It's a good way to take in a story while cooking or doing whatever else. Maybe not the best for retention, but ymmv.

I've been listening to a lot of Lovecraft recently what with it being almost Halloween and all - plus all of his works are in the public domain now and there's a ton of people who will read the stories on youtube for free.

I'd recommend Horrorbabble on youtube for a bit of seasonal horror-fiction, if you're into that kind of thing.
