Why am I like this? I'm broke and I would love to read via my pc but i get massive eyestrain. Anyone else have issues like this? I want to save money :(

Where to start with poetry? I've been reading some poetry here and there mainly from Cesar Pavese, Emily Bronte, and Emily Dickinson. But not really anything much besides those, out of impulse I bought a poetry book at my local B&N by Gertrude Stein(yep I know) I did not understand a fuckin thing. I plan on picking up Paradise lost and Wuthering Heights but I dont want to cuck myself by picking up things that I truly wont understand. Who should I read so I can pick these things up with consequence?

Im 18, fresh out of college stuck in the same conundrum op, family is dead broke with both my siblings pursuing careers in very profitable careers(One's a stem major and the other went to a prestigious marine biology high school and is a prodigy in the field etc. etc.). I want to pursue an English Degree but have no incentive to teach at all, i'm considering journalism but i'm investigating if I can get away with taking English as a major and working for the school paper so if everything falls back on me i'll be able to work as a correspondent while having the English Degree experience for whatever its worth. Journalism is a pretty dead end class from what i'm being told and i'm pretty sure there is hardly any electives in relation to english stuff its all about PR shit. So.... were both on thin ice op.

I remember a post on here a week ago talking about social media-phones and all that- ; its hard to have a place for it in fiction its just awkward. Someone mentioned it just not being natural for us humans(I don't necessarily agree). I wonder how plan to incorporate it into your novella if at all
