The Horus Heresy is amazing but it's also long as fuck and going to near 50 novels soon, so... Probably not a worthwhile investment unless you're certain it strikes a chord with you. It did with me. If you're into tragedies, sci-fantasy, and have a hard-on for antiquity and the Romans you're sure to like it. Plus, it has no romance whatsoever and barely any females, which is a thumbs up from me no matter what I'm reading.
