So, I'v officially given up on IJ. There are some parts that I love, such as anything regarding Hal, and any of the drug addict characters. The rest, however, just feels very drawn out and needlessly confusing.

Is the rest of DFW's biblio similar to IJ? Are there any of his novels/short stories/essays that deal with or are similar to the parts of IJ that I liked? Is there something of his that I should read first and then maybe return to IJ?
