OK /sffg/ I just ordered this from Amazon because it is so often recommended here, so if you were memeing me you better come clean.

Buddy of mine told me about this series and gave it high marks,
Is it worth the time?

>have this book and one of the comics growing up
>enjoy it immensely
>main character changes after book five
>totally lose interest and never read past book six
>recently now
>decide to grab the audio books
>reader does different voices for every character
>they gain even more personality because of it
>re-listen to every book two or three times
>get to book six again
>reader changes to Wil Wheaton
>does the same voice for every character
>puts weird emphasis on random words
>not the worst reader I've heard
>but I think I've lost interest again

It's really bumming me out. I love this universe and the characters so much but book six has been such a hassle for me.
