My Dad is top 0.1% earner in America and got into the telecommunication business with only a bachelor in English literature. He got his first job because his father worked in the very company (in MIC) and got into "working in IT" and immediately started travellig to Singapore, Mexico, Saudi Arabia to make arms deals with them.
His father was offered by an uncle (who owned an NFL team btw) to have the senator, who owed him a favor, write him a letter for entry at West Point, but he rejected it for a high paying job in the MIC straight away instead. lolxd


YET he does not want me to get any special treatment when it comes to getting work. He will not ask any of his (ex-)CEO buddies to get me an internship the way his dad tossed him into a profession he had no previous experience or learned skills for.
He believes any form of nepotism ruins business even though he only ever expereienced the genuine ills of nepotisim because he himself was brought into that world through nepotism. He will only ever talk about the men who went from penniless to rich, and never acknowlegde the ones who went from decently well off to rich. "If you couldn't make it from 0 you don't deserve where you are at."

He is forcing me to work at Lidl next semester break because "it will be good for my experience and I will appreciate it". He compares this to his experience as a caddy at a rich golf club where he was always known as X's sons by all the men he got tips from. I live off only 400€ a month in a one bedroom apartment in one of Europe's more expensive western European cities. I am not spoiled, arrogant or supercilious. I jsut want a little help getting the first door open to prove myself instead of going into fucking retail or experiencing "the beauty of collecting rejection letters on my wall", as one of his best buddies (who worked for JP Morgan somehow suddenly at age 30, after fucking around, without ANY previous experience and only a Bachelors in History).


My father doesn't get an Airbnb or Hotel unless he is getting a deal. He hasn't bought a car in 12 years, lives in an apartment smaller than various property he leases and which is way way below his typical income status...

IDFC what this faggot lookin brat in his Dad's sailboat is reading. I want to know what his Dad read that made him not want to kick his kids into the gutter, but enjoy a summer that doesnt rely on the government making all public transport a 9€ bargain.

I am so fucking pissed and annoyed at the second world "princes" getting all income from their parents laughing at my second hand, awkward suit and wondering why I am doing the pathetic shit position in females only HR instead of something real. I should have been gifted a good internship like my Dad was instead of only getting what I merit if I didn't sell my soul for an engineering, law or Programming degree. Why did he get to study literature and become an IT consultant project manager, but I get not even the chance for half of that?
