Because "pragmatic" literally means "relating to pratical affairs", i.e. things to do or things done. And also because, knowing ancient greeks as none of you halfwit do, I know that "pragmatic" comes from the word πρᾶγμα (pragma) which means "deed" or "act".
Therefore, the meaning saying "the pragmatic thing to do" is redundant because when you are referring to a "thing to do" you are already assuming a pragmatic perspective. There is no additional information in describing a "thing to do" as "pragmatic", unless you are a retarded person who thinks that the main meaning of "pragmatic" is something akin to "realistic" or "logical" or "down-to-earth" - which despite being in a similar semantic sphere DO NOT have the same meaning as the word "pragmatic".
