What is everyone's opinion on Heechee series. I just started reading pic related. So far it seems nice and i'm just wondering if it's going to turn to shit in sequel books.

then if you want something that is a lot denser(?) Dune by Frank Herbert published in 65

I got my brother these books have I made a huge mistake? I haven't read any of them so call me pleb trash etc. but just tell me I didn't get him COMPLETE shit.
