You kinda are dependent on approval, anon. Every single human is/was/will be. How else would you know if you do good at what you do? And before anyone gives me the whole "smart people don't look for other's approval blah blah blah" shpeal or tell me about some ancient wise guy who told some emperor to fuck off; those are also looking for approval even if they don't admit or even recognize it. And even if there ever was a dude who *T R U L Y* never thought about what others think of him(wich there never was) then that dude must be cultivating some personal philosophy for wich he needs his own approval for(approval wich he lerned to grant by seing other people how/what/when they do the action of approving so in a sense other people are approving of him through himself) because otherwise he could become anything ranging from displeased with himself to downright mentally ill.

Human nature is not mono or.bimorphic and our minds emerged out of natural selection with a statistically liable "route" towards reproducing (as well as surviving). In the same way hunger doesnt coextend with and shape the personality sexuality does not either. It is possible that it can, or does to some degree, but Freudian ideas are generally cringe and ridiculous and overstate the power of sex over the personality. There is no "sex-soul" or "sex/violence soul". Not the mention the childishness of global American culture and its emphasis on sensual hedonism and never growing up. Which is why psychoanalysis even exists today.

Just read Nietzsche and Schope, and read real biology and the small amount of real evo psychology if you want the same thing as Freud but better and more accurate.
