So I read Red Rising. It was decent enough. I’m now reading Golden Sun. When it was hinted that Mustang was with someone new, I immediately feared the worst and guessed it was going to be Cassius. I hoped the writer wasn’t going to be as stupid as that. Now I arrive at the point it is ”revealed” and I’m just annoyed. She knows that Cassius is a retard who swore a bloodfeud against Darrow. She knows all this and yet still sleeps with him. I just can’t wrap my head around this forced drama, because I’m 99% sure that Mustang is the ultimate ”love interest” for the main character and I can’t comprehend anyone getting back together with such a whore.

Tell me whether it’s worth continuing to read this series. Otherwise I’m liking the books, but this just pisses me off, perhaps unreasonably much. I was nowhere near this pissed when the whore in Urth cheated on Severian.
