"I have not written in a while. I was discouraged after reading some of my early work. I feel I am not good enough to be a writer. Not a good enough person.

Hopefully my depression is not returning. I must remain strong in the face of adversity, even if my version of adversity is petty and stupid.

Like my viking ancestors I must remain strong despite my situation. I must fight to the end. I must not give into despair. I will not be my father. I will prevail. I will do great things.
