If this thread (and similar ones) are anything to go by, we aren't missing out on much when it comes to the under-represented "straight white male perspective" or whatever you want to call it--doubly so when you take into account the phony, forced praise this board has for an extremely low and carefully selected (astroturfed?) number of new-ish trash books (like Michelle Ma's reheated edgelord slop). This bitching and moaning is getting as hackneyed as the latest "The Things We Carried Up the Mountain and Lost in the Fire" NYT Bestseller. Can anyone ITT say that they're actively looking for new and interesting writers, or do you need everything spoonfed with canon-sauce?
