I've tried getting into philosophy and he was my first pick with beyond good and evil
Is every philosophy book so fucking convoluted and beats around the bush for 3 fucking pages (dont forget flexing french or greek non-stop) just to say a thing that could be said in 2 sentences?
Guess im just too much of a brainlet, i can understand what he's saying, mostly, but it feels like a chore to read

Books about someone oversizing a previously barely relevant problem, getting progressively more obsessed about it to the point that not only he loses himself, but even manages to bring his fears to reality?

>The Young Hegelians drew on both Hegel's veneration of Reason and Freedom (as the guiding forces of history) and his idea that the 'Spirit' overcame all that opposed reason and freedom. They felt Hegel's apparent belief in the end of history conflicted with other aspects of his thought and that, contrary to his later thought, the dialectic was certainly not complete; this they felt was (painfully) obvious given the irrationality of religious beliefs and the empirical lack of freedoms—especially political and religious freedoms—in existing Prussian society.

>The Young Hegelians interpreted the entire state apparatus as ultimately claiming legitimacy based upon religious tenets. While this thought was clearly inspired by the function of Lutheranism in contemporary Prussia, the Young Hegelians held the theory to be applicable to any state backed by any religion. All laws were ultimately based on religious tenets.

>As such, their plan to undermine what they felt was the corrupt and despotic state apparatus was to attack the philosophical basis of religion.

What the fuck

What is this misdirection? Eros' power was involved in heterosexual romances too.
>>18375840
>please apply that definition of love too the greek texts and understand its about a higher form of friendship.
Why has everyone from antiquity, through the Middle Ages, to the present day, who has known Greek and Latin, used the word eros to refer to sex and romance, and not "higher forms of friendship"? You are inventing this "higher form of friendship" nonsense to cope with the fact that the Greeks already had a word for friendship "philia", and so instead of acknowledging that eros refers to something different from friendship, are instead positing that it is simply a "heightened" form of it. Which makes no sense, because eros is not used to refer to comrades, but to romances between men and women (which are presumably not "friendships"). When people in the ancient world wanted to argue that such and such mythic figure was not in an erotic relationship with another male (I posted about this above) they would say it was merely philia, not eros. The mental gymnastics you are performing are truly deranged.

A long time ago, equivalent to 54387,5 rotations of the hyperplanet Apollon B around the star conglomerate named Heraclis, the metauniverse descended into chaos, which consisted of an infinite process of creation and regression during which it was destroyed, in a phenomenon humans coloquially call "The Big Bang".
Thus, a reality was destroyed and the one we inhabit now was born.
The extraterestrial race of Universe A survived, deciding to maintain interplanetary order to prevent further catastrophes. As a result, they created the human race, a failed experiment of theirs which descended into madness and revolt.
To punish them, the extraterestrials unleashed a series of devastating catastrophes upon them, which the human race later forgot or misinterpreted.
To reestablish man-alien understanding, the higher race sent a council made up of the most evolved beings in the Universe to guide humanity.
Unfotunatetly, alien guidance was misunderstood and humans came to associate them with false prophets like Jesus and Buddha, and considered the earlier catastrophes a manifestation of divine will. This is how false books like the Bible were born.
Man created his own false understanding of life and decided to worship fake deities.
The original alien council disbanded because of internal conflicts, caused by the fact that they could not save humanity. This is why they exploited opposing groups of people to further their interests, creating things like the crusades.
In time, fanatical, terrorist groups were born which were guided by rogue aliens who wanted to destroy humanity from within.
Among these oppressive aliens there are those who orchestrated things like the colonial era or the holocaust.
Few of the original, well-intentioned aliens survive, and they went into hiding.
