American Gods was a decent read, I didn't like the spinoffs. Percy Jackson is just boring though. I once tried to read the Garrett P.I. novels by Glen Cook, but the main character was just fucking annoying.

Glenn Cook is best known for his Black Company novels, but I'd argue Garrett PI series is even better and totally different. Think Discworld Noir turned into a novel series. Amusing tidbit is Garrett constantly being drawn as a Noir provate eye when he's never described looking as one in what is a fantasy setting.
