Reminder that Dostoevsky was a hardcore atheist who absolutely despised Christianity with a burning passion, but he was forced to write pro-christian, anti-atheist propaganda books or else he'd be executed. This is evident in the many subtle ways he mocks Jesus and religious beliefs in his stories, while painting atheists characters as the smart ones. Notes From the Underground - Dostoevsky

I'm getting really annoyed and bored reading the rambling self indulgent fluff of authors from over a hundreds of years ago. Pages and pages of words that goes on side streets and run on sentences of ideas that could have been summed up in a single sentence. Kafka and especially Nietzsche wrote like this too. Do people actually like reading this prose? I'll skim a few more pages and return it if it's still the same in part two.
