/lit/ - Literature

There's an online publication that's a big fan of me as a writer; it's published multiple short stories and poems of mine. Just the other day I discovered each entry on the site has a comment section, and I went to check some of the comments on some of the things of mine they've published.

It was a nice little ego boost because everybody was positive. I even saw someone say that I have "enviable skill as a writer."

Maybe I am going to make it.

I wouldn't trade this feel for anything in the world. When you know in your heart you've written something good, it's a high like nothing else.

Most people on this board spout nothing but unfounded epithets they read someone else post on the internet. There are flaws within her philosophy, but those are flaws that nearly ever other philosopher has committed over the course of history. I highly doubt anyone on this board has even read Atlas Shrugged.

We don't read and write poetry because it's cute. We read and write poetry because we are members of the human race. And the human race is filled with passion. And medicine, law, business, engineering, these are noble pursuits and necessary to sustain life. But poetry, beauty, romance, love--these are what we stay alive FOR.

christmas is going to be great

/lit/, what if you made a story where every character was based on a philosopher's philosophy? As in they had already came to the same conclusion and internalized the philosophy, or we got to seem them do this or abandon the philosophy.

Which philosophies would be the most interesting to watch/read? Nietzsche: N-no Schopenhauer! Its the will to power, not the will to nothingness! B-b-baka!

What happened to the money making story about a fat chick? Is the guy still posting or did he give up? I'm going to try and give it to my sister and make her think it's a real book.

Most people HATE Paul but I didn't leave him out because of any ill feeling. I like what I've read of "Paul's" writings and I want to get into some good texts about him, his theology and guidance of the religion, but I like the others I listed much better.
