What do I read before this? I want to make sure I get it, as someone told me that in his first reading he understood it but did not quite “get” it.

I’m revisiting Heart of Darkness. I read it in early highschool because my English teachers said it was the shortest but hardest novel available for an assignment and I didn’t want to read anything long. I basically bs’d the whole thing by reading analysis’ of it because I was too young and dim to read it through by myself properly. Now I’m having a good read with it, and I wanna hear your guys’ thoughts on it.

most fags just think it's about an indictment of colonialism, but I believe it's more a critique on human nature, what do you fellas think?
