Dear anon, I am sorry I have besmirched the name of your precious author. Although closer consideration might reveal that I enjoy McCarthy's prose, I still stand by the claim that there's little depth to his writing. If you'd like to talk about it in a bit more reasonable tone I'd be glad to. You can get what you put into a conversation sometimes.

I enjoy Faulkner, and he is a better writer than McCarthy. His prose is a bit less varied and evokes less. It's not as varied: but his ideas and portraiture of Americana is much closer to the vein. It's more in our consciousness than McCarthy.
