Bros, I introduced Nietzsche to a friend of mine and now he wants to read his works. I want to gift him a few books but I don't know what to get for him since he doesn't know much about philosophy. I thought of getting Gilles Deleuze's book since it seems quite easy to get into, but which book from Nietzsche should I get him first?

How do you stop yourself from spending $90 in books when you already have dozens of other books to read already?

>do you consider your life purposeful?
Not really, I think it's up to you to make your own meaning but at the end of the day, it's all copping. Regardless of if you chose to be the best version of you or if you play video games all day, it'll not change much. All of Humanity's history is at best a tempest in a teapot.

>do you consider the lives of those around you purposeful?
Everyone's hooked on something and we try very hard to function, but it's all very futile at the end of the day. We live in our own narrative, people are starting to notice.

>do you think life can have a purpose?
See previous answers. I think the universe is indifferent, you can make up your own "purpose" but I'm as indifferent to the kid who got #1 at Fortnite as I am to Martin Luther King or Genghis Khan.

>all suffering considered, would you have chosen to have been born?
Probably not, I like to think of life as an anomaly.

>has the harm you suffered been mostly systemic (you could not tell who inflicted the harm) or personal?
My older sister sexually abused me when I was 9 years old, she fucked up my self-esteem and ability to have healthy relationships with women, so there's that. Then on a more systemic analysis: I got raised by a single mom because of daddy getting sick, losing his job, and becoming a violent alcoholic. Maybe "society" is to blame there.

I'd say 50/50 on that one.

>who has hurt you more in your life?
My sister probably.

>do you think justice has been done to these people for the harm they did to you?
She was fucked up back, now she's completely dysfunctional: obesity, drugs, lost her job, she wants a child but can't have one because she got a similarly fucked up partner who's probably infertile.

>do you feel like you matter to others?
no

>do you desire to matter to others?
no
