I've read the following books by Haruki Murakami:

Norwegian Wood
Kafka on the Shore
Hard-Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World
The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle

Are there any other of his books that you would recommend? Seems like these four got the highest praise, so that's what I've read so far.

Also, any other authors that you guys would recommend? Some with a more surreal style, like his.

What does /lit/ think of Haruki Murakami?

Which book should I start with? Which is the best?

Can someone explain modernism and post-modernism to me? Or are there some books that explain it well?

Almost done with Kafka on the Shore and feel like I should have started with one of his earlier works. Thoughts?
