I’ve been writing a story for a couple years now. I’ve shared my ideas with some people (some even on this board) and I’ve received pretty positive feedback. I’m interested in incorporating my ideas into a actual novel, but I’m wondering what the chances are if writing a book that is actually successful? I’m not planning on living my entire life off of one book, but I’m curious as to how difficult it is to write a novel that can be somewhat profitable?

Sometimes I think it would be cool to incorporate my ideas into a game, but I lack the knowledge of how to even code. I also thought of incorporating my ideas into a cartoon/anime, but I don’t want to sell my soul to ((them)) to make it a reality. Would writing a book be a better fit for me?

>college becomes a thriving town where only the brightest and smartest people are allowed to take refuge in, learning how to use “magic” and strike fear into the wasteland
>the “temple” is guarded by hundreds of tribal warriors, who worship the “gods” in order to gain “blessings” upon their people and land (scientists/wizards/gods conduct chemistry equations and experiments to help the tribals grow their food more effectively, provide them basic scientific knowledge, etc)

Is it true that there’s a link between creativity and mental illness?

Is it true that’s it practically impossible to write a successful book that actually makes money? Should I just throw my dreams of being a writer out the window?

Can I hire someone to turn my ideas into a book? I have all the characters, setting, story arcs, main plot, ending, etc all figured out, but I’m not that great at actually turning those ideas into words. Is it possible to hire someone to actually write the story for me?

I want to write a novel with deep lore and world building similar to Lord Of The Rings or Game Of Thrones
