My top Pope candidates right now, based on my limited knowledge:

-Sarah
-Burke
-Muller
-Ranjith

Don't sleep on Cardinal Ranjith out of Sri Lanka. He's actually quite Trad, he demands that everyone in his Sri Lankan archdiocese receive the Eucharist kneeling and on the tongue. And he had his shit together during the Easter bombings in Sri Lanka a few years ago, he responded very ably to them. He'd make a fine Pope, and his star may have risen as a result of those bombings.

But Sarah would be extremely excellent as well.

Another candidate to watch out for is another American: Cardinal O'Malley, the Cardinal-Archbishop of Boston, who has been cleaning up the mess of the sex abuse crisis basically for his entire time as a cardinal. He would probably be a very serious reformer and purifier if he became Pope.

You just need to work hard, I guess.

By the way, who are everybody's favorite cardinals? I assume everyone ITT has them.

In addition to the usual Trad Burke/Muller/Sarah trifecta, I really love Cardinal Ranjith, the Cardinal Archbishop of the major city in Sri Lanka. He is actually super reverent and adores Christ. He mandates that everyone in his archdiocese receives the Eucharist kneeling and on the tongue. Or at least he did before the coronavirus hit. He also very ably handled things after the Easter bombings in Sri Lanka a few years ago.

He'd make an excellent Pope.

If one of our criteria for the One True Church is that they have evangelized every portion of the globe, how is the Catholic Church not the most likely candidate? They're on every continent and in every nation. They're also the most populous Church, with the most members. Haven't they done a better job than any other Church actually bringing the Gospels to everyone everywhere?
