I got The Lost Weekend today and the opening pages are nearly word-for-word how some of my days would go when I was doing a ton of drugs and drinking, down to the brother visiting and attempting to get Don out of the house, making plans specifically in an attempt to help, and Don weaseling out and then starting in on a drink.

I'm a little ways in to Titus Groan and it's a lot of fun, incredible atmosphere, I love the sprawling castle, the strange rituals, Fuchsia's attic hideaway.

The Book of the New Sun is up after the Gormenghast trilogy.
