Of all bad influences, video games are the least malicious and as such should only be used as a short term distraction to get out of the lower circles of pleasure. They can help engage the mind and fill the subconscious with relatively better thoughts but do not stay on video games! You need to progress into better habits and start exerting agency and building and manipulating within real life. You need to transition from a person who consumes to one who builds.
Unfortunately, the lower pleasures are becoming meshed, and the lines between them, blurred. Video games frequently have sexual components to them and these should be avoided at all costs.
