A great history of the Troubles in Northern Ireland focusing on the first hand accounts of real members of the IRA, telling the true stories of their fight against the British and all that entailed, including disappearing people. Very compelling. I recommend the audiobook.

I just finished this. Fucking wow. Has anybody else read this and does anyone have any other recs for books on the IRA and the Troubles?

Do you like to read while high/drunk? I like listening to audiobooks while stoned on high-CBD marijuana edibles and coffee.

Reading picrel on audiobook, got it for free from Audible because Amazon offered me a free credit since I hadn't used Audible for a while. It's a great book.
I'm alternating between reading (listening), applying for jobs and trawling FB, POF and /lit/. I have a bit of dope which I was smoking earlier while listening to my book, but I have no beers unfortunately, but that's ok because I have some beautiful coffee I can make (fresh Lavazza crema beans). It's only 4 o'clock here and it's a beautiful day and the shadows are getting long.

Just did a big ol' coom and now I'm listening to Stevie Nicks and browsing /lit/ before I get down to reading. It's mid-evening, I've had a lot of coffee with cocoa to boot, and I don't plan on sleeping anytime soon. It's pouring rain outside and I've got some dope to smoke in the dark on my doorstep because my front door light is broke and I'm looking forward to getting on with my book...right after I'm done on 4chan hah.
