How many times do you need to reread each canto to understand it if you're unaccustomed to poetry? I've been exclusively reading prose my entire life, avoiding poems at every opportunity.

I got another rejection today. You know what I felt? Relief.

Tomorrow it begins. My mad goal to write 90k words for 4 separate pieces by the end of 2022.
This is where the texts are as of today and where they need to be by December 31st.
1. 22568 words, goal of 45068
2. 20014 words, goal of 42514
3. 1005 words, goal of 23505
4. 1029 words, goal of 23529
None of them will be finished by then, but that's not the point. The point is to see if I can pull it off. 1k words a day. No excuses.

I solemnly swear that starting in October I will write 90 000 words by the end of the year. I'm working on four separate texts and those 90k words will be split evenly among them. The final word goal for each story to be reached by the end of the year shall be 22500 on top of whatever it is I'll have done for each by the end of September.
The reason I'm doing this is that this way I don't need to commit myself to any of them fully and can always just jump between stories, adding a line here and a line there as the mood strikes me instead of forcing myself to focus on one thing.
