I just finished Aurora and was amazed at how he was able to fuck it up. I also made a pros and cons list. Thoughts?

PROS
>the AI-narrative frame story
>the logic of the ship's contents and layout
>the ship had a cool character evolution
>not having the AI become malignant and like, too logical, man
>the use of unknown prions rather than a very scary alien virus

CONS
>the Captain Planet episode of an ending
>the AI discovering love and solving consciousness is retarded. Also meaning of life bullshit. Like that scene from The Office: "I was just learning... to... love...."
>has technology not improved over the last 500 years?
>Almost character-free, with the exception of the ship and Jochi
>sexy stuff was uncomfortable
>delta v analogies were retarded
>dialogue was retarded
>Devi and Freya are obnoxious, and have obnoxious #symbolic names
