It’s very politically incorrect to acknowledge that women would like this novel (even though they do) because the author is like a refined Bukowksi. It’s basically if Mersault from The Stranger went around fucking whores and eating a lot of food. There are entire passages about how delicious food is and it’s a work of total degeneration. There are also some very inspired passages about art but now women who read have to pretend they like sex on the internet and will post a picture of the gaping maw that is their asshole but tell you you’re raping them if you talk to them. The book itself is a 6/10. It’s not essential and worked as a counter cultural novel when it came out because we still had a functioning society but some faggots went overboard and banned it.

I hope none of you guys are like this, giving shitty books more time than their deserve, so lets talk about book droppage. Whats your rule of thumb for trashing a book? Is it a number/percentage or some other criteria?
Mine's a flat 100 pages, no matter how long a book is, which for my slow ass means roughly 2 days of reading, and if I'm not enjoying myself by that time, shit goes straight to the trash.
