Isn't the idea of God's righteousness as Omnibenevolence really more of a product of wishful thinking than anything? Omnibenevolence literally translates to "the benefit of all". I think its pretty clear to any Christian (or Muslim for that matter) that God does not wish to benefit the Devil and his angles for instance. Why must God be in some way entirely removed from the advent and manifestation of evil? I think that's more something votaries would like to believe rather than a philosophical necessity. In fact I think if you go looking for scripture directly dealing with this very question then Isaiah 45:7 pretty clearly dispels this idea. I am aware of Thomas Aquinas' theory of evil as the absence of The Good but that seems like a minor diverting of the issue which dresses it up in new clothes. Okay, instead of splotches of evil we have gaps. From whence come these conspicuous absences? The question still remains, is God unwilling to fill in these potholes of iniquity or is he unable?

Personally I find a more reasonable take on Theodicy being that God being all things must be maximally good AND evil. That would certainly explain Hell a lot better. It is hard to imagine something more evil than an eternal torture chamber. Then its just a question of staying on God's good side. Is that really so disagreeable? I can't see why myself.

>presence of God
Sometimes. More and more. When I appreciate something, or a moment. I consider the beauty I found, and thereby sacralize it. Because it is divine, it is God's gift. I think about God a lot, and philosophy, and Christ, and the importance of sacrifice. I feel I'm being called to forsake a career and enter the religious life. But I'll probably have to stop shitposting.

>all things are going from potentially to actuality endlessly, therefore there needs to be a source of all potentiality unconditioned by any other sources of potentiality. We can call this God.

>>therefore Jesus was both God and the Son of God who physically died despite being God and now you have to eat his flesh and pay tithes to the Church or else you'll be eternally damned
