but their approach is highly flawed. imagine studying beethoven's music solely by analyzing his sheet music, commenting on what each note and annotation means, while never once actually listening to his music. could u then say u understand beethoven's music? i think not.

i knew a girl who grew up in the foster system, was adopted when older and yet she was sweet, stable, well adjusted and normal. i just couldn't understand how that's possible, given how my difficult, but much easier than her childhood has made me a depressed, bitter nihilist.
