How is 2channel like? I don't think it's some mystical Japanese hacker den, but I am curious what it's like.

I just imagine that unlike their neighbors, they were heavily colonized by Spaniards and Americans later on in addition to having large groups of Chinese peoples come in. This combined with the areas native Austronesian populations and Christianization via Spain, leading to a common shared history and culture between all the various groups despite some linguistic and cultural differences, which created a natural unique identity for the Fillipino peoples. I mean, Thailand and Vietnam were also heavily colonized by European powers, for some reason they don't have that same shared cultural history that Fillipinos do. They also are just naturally family-oriented and have a lot of cool cutural relics from ancuent Hindu/Buddhist, Muslim, Hispanic and Austronesian sources. It's just a very vibrant culture that's gone through a lot and still keeps on going. It's something that I'd love to experience before I die.
