I like Zizek as a personality and he has a few interesting things to say, but I'm getting exhausted with people who sound like a Hegelian excerpt whenever they talk about the world.

I know you need to use certain terms and ideologies to describe complex situations and structures, but there seems to be a point where their utility begins to take a backseat to a fetishistic, almost Marvel-esque fandom veneration of all these different ideological systems and sub-systems purely for the sake of how the words themselves sound. It ironically ends up making Zizek sound like something out of a major marketing firm's boardroom. Empty jargon that runs in circles with no actual aim or objective other than sounding like it's getting something done.

Like I said, I'm not against using certain terminologies to convey ideas, but you eventually also have to learn to talk like an academic AND a regular human being. Otherwise you just sound like someone who read a bunch of words in a book and is regurgitating them out in a randomized order, rather than someone who's taking information and synthesizing it, consistently and continually, into new points and perspectives.

*sniff*
