I get that in a negative way. More like being one with the universe but the whole universe is suffering. I call it Oceanic Michelstädter feel.

But I don't wanna. Anyway, which reference system should I use to determine whether he is right ? And what reference system should I use to determine truth at all ?

This guy did.
He argued that suicide is a viable option, but not ideal. Ideally man will find a way to live in the present moment as if it were his last and be beyond fear and not subject to the "god of pleasure" either.

He didn't know how to do that practically, so he shot himself in the head right after finishing his Phd thesis.

Some old dude with a brain tumor goes crazy on medication and starts digging a tunnel in the woods. He finds more and more fossilized cambrian sea-life and gets visions of being watched by a gigantic stone angel standing in a primordial sea. In his dreams, the angel shows signs of organic decay, oozing into the ocean, which, as becomes clear, is still sterile. While he digs deeper and deeper into the earth, he enters the earlier ediacaran fossils and later, as he nears the horizon of fossils, the angel decomposes slowly while still watching. It's a little bit like Lovecraft meeting Mishima.

Picrelated would have written a lot of bleak shit had he lived longer. But he offed himself on his mother's birthday, shortly after finishing his dissertation. He was a theist who thought God wanted to sudoku but could not cuz of being eternal. However, god came up with the idea to create our bleak reality and our minds are facets of his mind. And if WE sudoku, real godly non-existence begins. Theicide as the meaning of the universe.

He should have done what Michelstädter did: kill yourself BEFORE writing any books. Michelstädter would have written some seriously bleak shit if he had lived.

No, I discussed Zapffe some time ago.
Plus picrelated as well, Michelstädter was even more hilarious than Mishima, shame the only thing he wrote before sudoku was his dissertation.

>From his father Alberto, the head of an insurance office and president of the Gabinetto di Lettura goriziano, he received a push towards literary study; from his mother Emma Luzzatto, a great love for family and country. He was a scrappy and introverted boy, but by the end of high school (completed in Gorizia), he developed into a brilliant, athletic, intelligent youth. He enrolled in the department of mathematics in Vienna, but soon moved to Florence, a city he savored for its arts and language. There he formed friendships with other students, and in the end enrolled in the department of letters of the local Istituto di Studi Superiori (1905). He majored in Greek and Latin, and selected for his laurea thesis a philosophical study of persuasion and rhetoric in ancient philosophy. In 1909 he returned to Gorizia and set himself to work on the thesis.

>By about the fall of 1910, he completed his work, finishing the appendices by 17 October. He was surely very tired, and that day he had a fight with his mother, who complained he hadn't wished her a happy birthday. Left alone, Carlo took a loaded pistol he had in the house and killed himself.
