Is studying philosophy worth it if you're not a career-driven person? And how hard is it? I feel like the hard work would kill my interest but I really don't know what else to study
Also does anyone here regret studying what they liked?

Are there any books that help a person deal with the fact they are not morally perfect, and helps them come to terms with the fact they have failed on a moral level in some way, either by hurting others or acting in ways they regret?

I read a quote posted here a while back from Thomas Mann from Magic Mountain where it says one of the more difficult things to experience is falling out of favour with yourself. It really stuck with me, though I can't remember the exact quote.
