Well he did prefer the term erotic since it etymologically also had this sense of being attracted to something in general, like celestials bodies due to gravity. So it covers more drives (hunger, arousal, etc.) at once. But it also has to do with the fact that everything can be fetishized. You have people who are sexually aroused by food or obsessed with toilet stuff. But the familial stuff like the Oedipus Complex does have its sexual aspect, it's just that later on Freud understood that it's much more vague in how it works. For example, having sex with your parents won't cure your mental illnesses, if anything it can make them worse.

Hey /lit/, I was reading some fascist literature and by fascist I mean people who identify themselves as fascist, (Mussolini, Evola, etc.) and one thing I noticed is they all have a weird obsession with Indian culture. They all really like Hindu spirituality and the cast system and seem to be giving their own version of it.

The weird thing is even non-fascists like Hitler used an Indian symbol for his logo.

Was their a big wave of Indian literature sweeping Europe in the late 1800's - early 1900's like Japanese culture is everywhere in the west now?

All these guys seem like big Indian weebs and i'm just wondering if that's the case or some greater Indian wave was taking hold of Europe at the time.
