Who else likes this book?

Does this book get any better? I'm about a quarter of the way in at this point and it just seems to be overly wordy and has a really slow plot.

Is sci fi allowed in the thread?

I'm not normally one to judge a book by it's cover but William Gibson novels have the ugliest god damn covers I've ever seen

Just finished Neuromancer. I enjoyed the book, thought the setting was great, and I'd like to read more cyberpunk.

1. are the sequels as good / worth reading?
2. what other works by different authors can I read?

I searched for both "Neuromancer" and "cyberpunk" on the wiki but got no results. I had a thread from /lit/ saved but deleted it unfortunately. So general cyberpunk thread too if people want?

Are the other two books in the Sprawl series worth reading or should I just stop after finishing Neuromancer?

So, what the fuck happened to Cyberpunk? It's not a literary movement with lots of steam, and it isn't a movement that many people know/care about.

I mean, I don't even know what to say. I know the Matrix brought it back, and then brought it down with the last two movies.

What do you think, /lit/? Why wasn't Cyberpunk a bigger thing, and why does nobody give a shit now?
